According to 69A-62 Firefighter Employment Standards, (a) it is strongly recommended for the employer to develop a policy that prohibits components of protective ensemble that are contaminated from being allowed in sleeping/living areas and patient compartments. (b) A firefighter employer shall take reasonable measures to prevent contaminated equipment from being carried in crew passenger areas.
